Sicuramente molti di voi già conosceranno la celeberrima raccolta di racconti intitolata "Le mille e una notte". Ebbene, oggi vorremmo rispolverare la vostra memoria con un piccolo sunto: essa è incentrata su una singolare vicenda che interessa il re persiano Shahriyār, il quale, essendo stato tradito da sua moglie, uccide sistematicamente le sue spose al termine della prima notte di nozze. Un giorno Shahrazād, figlia maggiore del gran visir, decide di offrirsi volontariamente come sposa al sovrano, avendo escogitato un piano per placare l'ira dell'uomo contro il genere femminile. Così la bella e intelligente ragazza, per far cessare l'eccidio e non essere lei stessa uccisa, attua il suo piano con l'aiuto della sorella: ogni sera racconta al re una storia, rimandando il finale al giorno dopo. Va avanti così per "mille e una notte"; alla fine il re, innamoratosi, le rende salva la vita. Questo racconto dimostra come l'intelligenza e l'astuzia possano essere più efficaci di qualsiasi arma e potenti alleate delle donne di ogni tempo. Tuttavia, noi non siamo mica in Persia. Noi siamo su Covet Fashion. Cos'è che tira di più a parte le fatine bionde in LYHD? Ma che domanda banale! La nostra Shahrazād covettiana ha capito che non c'è minimamente bisogno di sbattersi al punto da doversi inventare l'Ulisse di Joyce per fare colpo sul re. Ma che ce frega delle storie? Dear readers, welcome to another appointment of the #ABugsLife column. Surely many of you will already know the famous collection of short stories entitled "One Thousand and One Nights". Well, today we would like to dust off your memory with a small summary: it is centered on a singular story that interests the Persian king Shahriyār, who, having been betrayed by his wife, systematically kills his brides at the end of the wedding night. One day Shahrazād, the eldest daughter of the Grand Vizier, decides to volunteer as a bride to the ruler, having devised a plan to appease the man's anger against the female gender. So the beautiful and intelligent girl, in order to stop the massacre and not be killed herself, implements her plan with the help of her sister: every evening she tells the king a story, postponing the ending to the next day. She goes on like this for "One thousand and One Nights"; in the end the king, in love, saves her life. This tale demonstrates how intelligence and cunning can be more effective than any weapon and powerful allies of women of all time. However, we are not in Persia. We are on Covet Fashion. What is it that pulls the most apart from blonde fairies in LYHD? What a trivial question! Our covettian Shahrazād has realized that there is no need to rush to the point of having to invent Joyce's Ulysses to impress the king. No way. What do we care about stories? She shows her tits.
